POLITICAL EARTHQUAKE: AREGBESOLA’S ADC MOVE SENDS SHOCKWAVES THROUGH NIGERIA.

Forget subtle shifts. This is a tremor. When a political titan like Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, former Governor, former Minister, a name etched in the annals of South-West politics, takes the helm as National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), it’s not just a party appointment. It’s a declaration of war on the status quo.

This isn’t about filling a seat. This is about igniting a fuse. Aregbesola brings more than experience; he carries an undeniable, almost seismic, political vibe. It’s the vibe of a strategist who has built bridges and won battles. It’s the energy of a grassroots mobilizer with a fierce, loyal following. Now, he channels that raw, electrifying force into the ADC, a party poised for a breakthrough.

Why does this shake the table? The ADC, with its motto of “People First,” has been building a quiet, steady foundation. Enter Aregbesola: a whirlwind of action, a master of political narrative, and a figure who commands headlines. This fusion is explosive. It transforms the ADC from a “third force” into a frontline contender. It signals a magnet for disillusioned voters and ambitious politicians alike, offering a potent alternative to the dominant parties.

The question on every insider’s lips: Is this the catalyst Nigeria’s political landscape has been waiting for? With David Mark ,Ajadi and Aregbesola’s tactical mind now dictating the ADC’s national secretariat, expect bold maneuvers, sharp messaging, and a mobilisation drive that targets the very heart of voter discontent.

One thing is certain: the game has changed. The old playbook is obsolete. Watch this space. Watch Aregbesola. Watch the ADC in the South West with people like Dr Ajadi ,Prof Olusola Eleka and many others. The race for Nigeria’s future just got its most unpredictable and gripping challenger in ADC.

THE AUTOPSY WE MUST NEVER CONDUCT

Aare Amerijoye DOT.B. If we will not like gathering in 2027 to conduct a political postmortem, dissecting how victory slipped through our fingers, how history brushed past us but refused to embrace us, then the time for lamentation must give way to mobilisation. Reflection without reorganisation is self-deception. Memory without structure is ritual mourning. Politics,...

During the clause-by-clause consideration of...

NIGERIANS MUST REJECT SENATE’S TECH ILLITERACY AS ELECTORAL POLICY

The Akpabio-led Senate is fast proving itself to be an anti-democratic contraption. I have listened carefully to the arguments advanced by the Senate President Godswill Akpabio and the Senate spokesperson and other proponents of retaining the discretionary provisions of 2022 Electoral Act on electronic transmission of results rather than upholding the mandatory provisions of the...
