SEVEN TIMES THEY RAISED THE ALARM. AND NOW HE WANTS FOUR MORE YEARS.

Aare Amerijoye DOT.B

Read this roll call slowly, Nigeria. Then ask yourself how the man at the centre of every single line is now standing before you asking for a second term.

In 1999, Alhaji Seriki and Dr Balogun dragged him to court. The charge was forgery.

In 1999, Gani Fawehinmi, the fearless one himself, sued him. The charge was forgery and lying under oath.

In 1999, Bayo Onanuga’s own magazine laid the evidence on the table for all Nigeria to see.

Between 1999 and 2002, Festus Keyamo went after BAT and the House, demanding to know how a man walks free after certificate forgery and perjury.

In 2013, Dr Dominic Adegbola. Same man. Same charge. Forgery.

In 2022, Mike Enahoro-Mbah. Same charge. Forgery.

In 2023, Atiku took the very same matter all the way to the top.

Different accusers. Different decades. Different courtrooms. One name at the centre of every last one.

And here we are in 2027. The forms are bought. The party has anointed him. The billboards are up. The same man, carrying the same baggage, asking a nation of over two hundred million to hand him another four years and pretend none of it ever happened.

So answer me, Nigeria. How does a man with this much sworn testimony, this much litigation, this much documented evidence trailing him across three decades, not only escape disqualification once, but get invited back for a second helping? How?

Because if he walks, tell me what we are jailing everyone else for. Throw the prison gates open. Free every forger, every perjurer, every fraudster rotting in a cell. If it does not disqualify the man at the very top, it has no business detaining the man at the very bottom.

And we have not even opened the darkest file yet. Chicago, 1993. A United States federal court, presided over by Judge John A. Nordberg, ordered Bola Tinubu to forfeit four hundred and sixty thousand dollars that the court traced to a heroin trafficking ring. Not rumour. Not gossip. Certified court records, sitting in the archives of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois to this very day. He has never explained it. He has never denied that the money was forfeited. He simply looked Nigeria in the face, told INEC he had no skeletons, and asked for the keys to the nation. Twice.

And what have the four years bought us? Look around. Inflation that tore past thirty percent and set fire to every market and every kitchen in the land. A naira battered into the ground. Fuel prices that quadrupled while wages stood still. Roughly six in every ten Nigerians now living in poverty, more than on the day he took the oath. Schoolchildren dragged from their classrooms while the state shrugs. Insecurity in the North, hunger in the South, despair in between. This is not reform. This is a nation being asked to bleed quietly and clap while it does. And now the same hands that delivered this ruin are stretched out for four more years of it.

He lied his way in. We have paid for it every day since.

The precedent is not theoretical. It is being written into the soul of this Republic in real time. And history is watching, very closely, to see whose hand holds the pen.

TINUBU HAS THE NATURAL FOUR DIRECTORS GENERAL OF ATIKU TO CONFRONT. THE DIRECTORS GENERAL ARE: HUNGER, FAILED PROMISES, HIS POLITICS OF KAKITOCRACY AND HIS CRONYISM OF FAVOURING ONLY THE BOURDILLON CABAL
