DO NOT ADVISE VICTORY. DELIVER YOUR UNIT.

Aare Amerijoye DOT.B.

There is a dangerous illusion spreading quietly within political movements. It is the illusion that elections are won by advice. They are not. Elections are won by delivery.

In 2023, the numbers exposed this truth with unforgiving precision. Across Nigeria’s 176,846 polling units, power did not go to those who spoke the most. It went to those who organised the most.

Atiku Abubakar secured 61,894 polling units. Peter Obi secured 47,140 polling units. Combined, that is 109,034 polling units, an immense electoral force created not by speeches alone, but by citizens who took responsibility for their immediate political environment.

Each of those units had individuals who did more than analyse. They acted. They persuaded neighbours. They followed up. They ensured turnout. They defended the vote.

That is how elections are truly fought.

THE ELECTION WILL NOT BE WON IN ABUJA. IT WILL BE WON ON YOUR STREET.

Today, many members passionately advise leaders. They write long strategic prescriptions. They offer endless tactical corrections. They explain what should be done, what could be done, and what must be done.

But there is a question that must now be asked with honesty.

What have you done in your own polling unit?

Because no national strategy can compensate for local absence.

No brilliant leadership can overcome empty structures.

No powerful message can replace missing mobilisation.

Leadership provides direction. Structure provides strength. But polling units provide victory.

EVERY MEMBER IS A FIELD COMMANDER, NOT A SPECTATOR

Under the banner of the African Democratic Congress, victory will not be donated. It will be constructed.

Constructed polling unit by polling unit.

Delivered voter by voter.

Secured result by result.

This is the responsibility of every committed member.

If you believe in the mission, organise your polling unit.

If you believe in the leadership, expand your polling unit.

If you believe in victory, deliver your polling unit.

Do not wait for instructions from Abuja before speaking to your neighbour.

Do not wait for national leaders before building local strength.

Do not wait for election season before beginning mobilisation.

History does not reward spectators. It rewards participants.

STOP EXPLAINING VICTORY. START PRODUCING IT.

Advice is valuable. Media advocacy is powerful. Social media persuasion is essential. These shape perception and build momentum.

But momentum must arrive somewhere.

It must arrive at your polling unit.

That is where your belief becomes measurable.

That is where your loyalty becomes visible.

That is where your commitment becomes history.

Let every member make this decision today.

Adopt your polling unit.

Build your polling unit.

Deliver your polling unit.

And when thousands of committed members do the same, victory will no longer be an argument.

It will be an outcome.
